Product Designer
Design consumer healthcare experiences across mobile and web that people love.
Mila Health is one of Europe’s fastest-growing healthtech scale-ups and the company behind Fellos and Goodweigh. Through our platforms, we help people understand and improve their health through digital care, a team of doctors and medication where appropriate.
We combine technology with our own medical practice and pharmacy. That means we control almost the entire patient journey ourselves: from intake and consultation to prescription, dispensing, delivery and ongoing treatment.
We grew in eighteen months to €35M+ annual run rate, raised more than €7 million and are active in the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Sweden. Our goal is to grow towards €500M revenue by 2030.
For the next phase, we’re looking for our first dedicated Product Designer.
The role
Until now, product design has been shared between founders, engineers and external support. That worked while the product was smaller. It won’t work for where we’re going.
As Product Designer, your main focus will be the consumer experience across mobile and web.
You’ll work on the complete patient journey: from the first visit and medical intake to our mobile app, treatment plans, progress tracking, communication, account management and checkout.
One week you might improve the onboarding that turns a sensitive health question into a simple five-minute intake. The next, you might design a new part of our mobile app or rethink how patients understand and manage their treatment.
You’ll also work on selected parts of our clinician product and workflows, especially where they directly affect the patient experience.
You’ll work closely with founders and engineers in a small core team, alongside 50+ medical professionals and a 20+ person support team.
You’ll own projects end-to-end: from a loosely defined problem, through research and conversations with the right people, to flows, UI, prototyping, implementation and what happens after launch.
This is a senior, hands-on role. You’ll design, prototype, test, ship and help define how design works at Mila as we grow.
What you’ll own
- Consumer mobile and web: onboarding, medical intake, our mobile app, treatment plans, progress, messaging, account and checkout
- End-to-end product design: taking ambiguous problems from discovery through to shipped solution
- Design quality: raising the bar for usability, interaction and visual design
- Clinician experience: improving selected workflows that directly affect the quality and speed of care
- Design systems: building the components and patterns that help our products and brands scale coherently
- Product discovery: using analytics, session recordings, user feedback and support tickets to understand where people get stuck
- Rapid prototyping: using tools such as Figma, Claude Design, Magic Patterns and other AI-native design tools to move quickly from idea to something testable
- How design works at Mila: shaping the standards, tooling and ways of working as the team grows
Who you are
- 5+ years of product design experience, with strong consumer web and mobile work
- A portfolio that shows the problem, constraints, decisions, final product and impact
- Strong across UX, interaction and UI, with a high bar for visual quality
- Comfortable taking ambiguous problems and running with them independently
- Pragmatic: you ship, learn and iterate
- Comfortable working closely with engineers and using data and user feedback to guide decisions
- You actively use AI and prototyping tools to move faster
- Fluent in English and based in the Netherlands
Nice to have: experience with consumer mobile apps, design systems, experimentation, or fast-growing scale-ups.
What matters is that you can make complex products feel clear and intuitive, even when not every step can simply be removed.
What you get
- A salary of €65,000–€85,000 on a full-time basis, depending on experience
- The opportunity to become the first design leader at Mila as the company and team grow
- Significant ownership over the consumer experience of products used by tens of thousands of patients
- The freedom to shape our design standards, tooling and processes
- Direct collaboration with the founders and fast decision-making
- The possibility to share in the growth of the company
- A role whose scope grows quickly as we enter new markets and launch new care areas
Practical
- Full-time role
- Hybrid working: at least 3 days per week from our office in Amsterdam
- During onboarding, we work full-time from the office
- One work-from-anywhere week per year
- 25 vacation days based on a 40-hour week
- Daily lunch at the office
- Regular team events and drinks
Sounds like you?
Send us a short introduction and your portfolio. We care more about one product, feature or component you designed well, than a polished cover letter.
Not a perfect match on paper? Apply anyway. We look primarily at what you’ve actually designed.
